A Message To Our Supporters

The 4th Annual House On The Vineyard Weekend is postponed to August 11-15, 2021.

The Greater Boston Morehouse College Alumni Association (GBMCAA) is grateful for your support of the House On the Vineyard Weekend (HOTV) for the past 3 years. In an abundance of caution due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 4th annual HOTV is postponed until next summer.

MOREHOUSE EXPERIENCE

Interested in being a "Man of Morehouse?” The GBMCAA invites prospective students to attend an information session about Morehouse College. Current students, alumni, and Board of Trustee members will be present to answer your questions regarding campus culture, admissions qualifications, financial aid, and more. Please join us!

CHAIRMAN'S BREAKFAST

This invitation-only event will be hosted by Morehouse College Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Mr. Willie Woods. Guests will enjoy a morning filled with networking, panel discussion, and delicious food.

SPELHOUSE BEACH PARTY & CLAMBAKE

Nothing says summer like a day on the beach with family and friends. Join us for some fun in the sun followed by a traditional clambake on the beach. Guests will enjoy delicious food prepared by Bill Smith's Martha's Vineyard Clambake. Bring your favorite beverages, beach blanket or chair, and be ready for the quintessential island experience.

LEGACY OF LIGHT AWARDS SOIRÉE 

The Greater Boston Morehouse College Alumni Association will host an intimate cocktail soirée at the Harbor View Hotel. This exclusive event will celebrate black excellence in entertainment and honor leaders in this industry along with the 2020 Legacy of Light Award Recipients. Guests will enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres with a live musical performance.

THE "HOUSE" OF LINEN PARTY

This must-attend event will bring everyone together to close out the weekend with The House Party. Be sure to dress to impress at this linen themed party and be ready to dance all night long to the beats by DJ Tron “AKA” DJ Tronny Blaze!

SUNDAY WORSHIP SERVICE

Join the GBMCAA and family as we worship together to conclude the House on the Vineyard weekend.

Due to COVID-19 we are unable to host House on the Vineyard, but you can still make a contribution to help support scholarships for Morehouse College students.

GETTING TO OAK BLUFFS, MARTHA'S VINEYARD

TRAVEL

Peter Pan Bus and Plymouth/Brockton Bus both provide daily service to ferry terminals from Boston Logan Airport, Boston South Station and other locations.  

 

Here are directions to get to the Vineyard by sea, air, car, or, bus.

 

The Steamship Authority provides year-round passenger and auto (the only ferry that accommodates autos) ferry service from Woods Hole on Cape Cod to Oak Bluffs and Vineyard Haven.

 

The Island Queen ferry provides transportation from Falmouth on Cape Cod to Oak Bluffs.

 

Hy-line Cruises provides transportation from Hyannis on Cape Cod to Oak Bluffs

This service offers both high speed and traditional ferry service from mid-Cape to Oak Bluffs.
